The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is presenting the Chinese New Year Lantern Display 2026 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza from February 12 to March 15, featuring dazzling lanterns that incorporate various elements of Hong Kong's intangible cultural heritage (ICH) and blend festive joy with exquisite traditional paper craftsmanship. The display offers visitors a vivid experience of the unique charm of ICH and joyfully welcomes the Year of the Horse.The lantern display titled "Spirited Horse and ICH Bring You the New Year Blessings", presented by the ICH Office, was created by veteran paper-crafting master Mo Cheuk-kei. The lantern features motifs including horses, bats and lions. Another lantern display, "Leaping into Spring, Galloping to Success", is created by veteran paper-crafting master Hui Ka-hung. It incorporates Hong Kong-style cheongsams, Chinese candy boxes, gold coins and auspicious symbols, offering a fusion of tradition and creativity to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

The Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme 2026 has been launched. The Programme provides internship placement opportunities for students who are permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China and enrolled in full-time programmes offered by post-secondary institutions in or outside the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Bureaux/departments would advertise their internship placement opportunities (where applicable) on their respective departmental websites and the Civil Service Bureau's (CSB) website. They may make arrangement with individual post-secondary institutions to nominate students for the Programme.In addition, other government related organisations also offer individual summer internship programmes for post-secondary students.
